Drunk drivers fined 5 million in Kalmykia

In the first half of the year, bailiffs of the republic collected about eight million rubles in administrative fines for driving while drunk and refusing to undergo a medical examination.

According to the head of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Mukhortov, 21 drunk drivers were again brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 20.25 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, the sanction of which provides for a doubling of the fine or arrest for up to 15 days.

Within the framework of 230 enforcement proceedings for a total amount of 5 million 229 thousand rubles, employers of offenders were sent orders to withhold money from their wages, and 632 people were restricted in the right to leave the country.

In total, in the reporting period, 455 enforcement proceedings were initiated to collect administrative fines under Art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a driver in a state of intoxication, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication) and Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (failure by the driver of the vehicle to pass the medical examination for intoxication).
