Holders of the Strelka pass can again replenish the card balance in cash, according to the website of the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the Moscow Region on Wednesday, August 5.

“Residents and guests of the Moscow region are again able to replenish Strelka transport cards in cash without commission at the FSUE Russian Post offices in the Moscow region, at the ticket offices and bus stations of Mostransavto JSC, suburban cash desks of TsPPK JSC and MT PPK JSC,” said in the message.

The ministry noted that the previously introduced amendments to 161-FZ (the law on the national payment system), which limited the replenishment of cash in electronic wallets, do not affect Strelka transport cards, including preferential tariff cards, since they are not anonymous.

On July 24, it became known that the acceptance of cash in public transport was resumed on the territory of the Moscow Region.

In the Moscow region, due to the coronavirus, there were restrictions on the payment of travel in cash. It was possible to travel in public transport with an Strelka card or with a contactless bank card.
